Option: Type 316 Stainless Steel

This option provides the stainless steel material used on this product to be Type 316, alternate to the typical Type 304. Type 316 stainless steel provides more corrosive resistance. Type 316 stainless steel also known as marine-grade for its resistance to saltwater corrosion. 316 stainless steel contains 16% chromium, 10% nickel and 2% molybdenum. The molybdenum is particularly helpful in resisting corrosion to chlorides such as salt water.
